This policy explains what we collect when you use this site or contact us, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. Powell Realty is the trade name of J Powell Enterprises LLC, a Florida company with its office at 208 Lake Parsons Green, Brandon, FL 33511. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean that company.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form, request a rental analysis, apply for a rental, or call the office, you may give us your name, phone number, email address, the address of a property, the type of property, and whatever else you choose to tell us.
Information we collect automatically. Like most sites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: the pages you look at, the site or search that sent you, and general details about your browser and device. We use this to understand which pages are useful, not to identify you personally.
How we use it
We use what you give us to answer you, to prepare the rental analysis or information you asked for, to show you properties, to manage the properties we already handle, and to keep our own records. We use the automatic information to keep the site working and to see which pages people actually read.
We do not sell your personal information.
Board Snapshot requests
When a board member uses our Board Snapshot form, we collect the answers, contact details and any documents they choose to upload. We use them only to prepare the snapshot and talk with the board. Documents are kept in a private folder that only Powell Realty and the team that runs our website can open, and are deleted 90 days after they are sent if the board does not hire us. We do not sell this information.
Text messages
If you tick a consent box on one of our forms, you are agreeing to receive text messages from us at the number you gave. The two boxes are separate. One covers messages about your property and the request you made. The other covers marketing and promotional messages. You do not have to tick either one to send us a form or to work with us.
You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Who else sees it
We use outside companies to run parts of our business, and your information passes through them:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
- n8n, an automation service run by MPath Consulting, which passes the answers you send through our forms on to our customer records system.
- GoHighLevel, our customer records and messaging system, which stores your contact details and the messages between us.
- Google Drive, where board documents sent with a Board Snapshot request are kept in a private folder run by MPath Consulting.
- AppFolio, which runs our long-term rental listings and the owner and tenant portals. When you follow a portal link from our site, you are on AppFolio's system and their privacy terms apply.
- Lodgix, which handles bookings for our short-term and vacation rentals. When you book, you are on Lodgix's system and their terms apply.
- Website analytics, which counts visits and page views.
We may also share information when the law requires it, when we need to enforce an agreement, or when we are protecting someone's safety.
Cookies
Our site uses a small number of cookies and similar tools to keep the site working and to count visits. Your browser can block or delete cookies. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call the office at (813) 843-8311 or write to us at the address above and we will help. Some records we have to keep, such as records tied to a lease or required by Florida law, and we will tell you if that applies.
You can stop marketing texts by replying STOP, and stop marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in them.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to do the work you asked for, and after that for as long as our records, our leases, and Florida law require.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website or system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise it can never be reached by someone who should not have it.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Fair Housing
We follow the Fair Housing Act. We do not use anything you tell us to make decisions based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin. We follow federal, state and local fair housing laws.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and change the date at the top.
